We can all agree the dishwasher is one of the best appliances you can have in the kitchen for making cleaning up easier.

But there's nothing more frustrating than pulling a load of clean plates and cutlery out to find that most of it is actually still wet.

One Aussie mum has come up with a clever solution for this annoying issue. Kat, who is also known as The Organised Housewife, shared the tip on Instagram.

The tea towel will help absorb any moisture still sitting in your dishwasher after a cycle.

One user commented, "Whaaat..mind blown. My hubby just likes to leave it wide open in the middle of the kitchen to dry."

"Also a good sign it is a clean load that needs to be unpacked... wonder if my kids will get the message," wrote one mum.

"I'll give it a shot — damn plastics are always wet even with my extra dry cycle," added another user.

Another woman wrote, "That's what I do!! It's a great hack."

But others weren't so impressed with the hack.

One woman suggested she just needs to open the door, but Kat replied, "Sometimes mine still doesn't dry."

The woman replied, "Mine dries fine with the blue rinse stuff and if I have any cups that hold water upside-down I just take it off and leave the door for half hour. My dishes are dry when the load finishes so I can put them away too and leave the dishwasher open."
