Scott Cam drops Block bombshell with the help of surprise Aussie superstar: 'You will not believe who'

When Block host Scott Cam invites you over for dinner, "it's never just dinner" as Taz rightly pointed out.

So when the teams joined Scotty for a good ol' roast, he had a different kind of roast up his sleeve, one that involves some game-changing prize money...

The challenge begins - with a superstar guest!

The Blockheads joined Scotty and judge Shaynna Blaze in her "picture perfect" Melbourne home.

"Did you know, you're the very first contestants ever?" said Shaynna as she welcomed them in.

Waiting in the kitchen was special guest "superstar" and larger-than-life comedian Reuben Kaye!

"You will not believe who's inside," Mat gushed cameras.

When hearing how close everyone was on site, Reuben reacted: "I don't believe that, that is an outright lie".

So with Reuben's help, Scotty had an announcement to make...

"It feels like if you all really love each other, one of the great traditions in comedy for the people we love is to roast them."

Next Monday The Block is taking over Her Majesty's Theatre which seats about 500 to 600 people.

"And you are all going to get on stage and give each other a good old fashion roasting!"

But they weren't just roasting each other, they could rip on fellow contestants, the judges, The Block in general and even Reuben.

"I want you to turn the heat up!" announced Reuben.

Turning up the competition, Scotty added a little more incentive to the challenge. The winners of the roast will take home a neat $5,000 thanks to E&S!

Robby and Mat were ready to take out the prize as best roasters.

Who is Reuben Kaye?

Reuben Kaye is a multi-award winning Australian comedian, singer, and writer lauded for being unapologetically loud, politically active, queer, brash, and fabulous.

Reuben has taken the comedy world by storm, garnering millions of views across TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, and making guest appearances on Spicks and Specks, the Melbourne International Comedy Fest Galas, Celebrity Letters and Numbers, The Apprentice: You're Fired with Tom Allen and Kids React to Drag.

Winner of multiple Best Cabaret Awards, Reuben Kaye has cemented himself as one of the biggest names in the comedy and cabaret scenes. 2019 included the creation of two amazing shows, the self-titled "Reuben Kaye" and the adult-only late-night variety show "The Kaye Hole".

Both of these raucous and celebrated events have since been showcased around the world, collecting new fans and accolades in spades.
