Emma and Ben described this week as "chaotic".

House 1 is the only elevated home this year, and the couple had exciting plans to show that off.

Complete with an outdoor kitchen, dining and lounge area, Emma and Ben delivered what they hoped would be a point of difference: a golf simulator!

Ben said it was all about adding a bit of fun, while adding something that isn't too niche.

"I'm hoping that the judges see how useable the spaces are," said Emma ahead of reveals.

"This is the best of both worlds and you have that lovely connection to the outdoors."

What Darren loved most was the Shou Sugi Ban on the walls.

"The fact that it brings this beautiful architecture into the space," he explained. "It really feels like it honours the exterior of the house, which I really love."

"My only thing, it feels a little bit heavy in here," Shaynna said as she pointed out the use of black everywhere she looked, even in the furnishings.

"I would like a bit more light relief," she explained.

Darren agreed.

"There's a softness that's lacking," said Darren. "It could use an outdoor rug."

But as always, the team delivered a space with high-quality finishes!

Along with House 1's signature colour and material palette inspired by the nature of Daylesford.
