Ricky and Haydn's Backyard and Pool
Ricky and Haydn summed up outdoor landscaping perfectly.
"This week was... expensive! The body, the mind, the soul and the bank," they laughed.
The duo splashed their hard-won cash to ensure their backyard and pool were just as delightful as the inside of their Phillip Island home.

They had help from a landscaping company, in the form of R&H Landscaping... aka, themselves.
"They're exceptionally good looking," Ricky joked.
But would the boys' skills be enough to land them a win this week?

At 488 square metres, Ricky and Haydn renovated the second biggest backyard on The Block this year.
"The grass looks amazing, the deck looks fantastic, the plungey pool, the Grafico – it's all come together nicely. I reckon we've executed well," Ricky gushed of the space.
But did the judges agree?
Dave Franklin, landscaping guru and special guest judge, certainly did.
"This is a backyard," he gasped.

"We could be anywhere," Darren beamed.
"The trees coming from the top of the building all the way to the fence line.
"Once these lilly pillies grow, you're going to be hemmed in with green with a green canopy above you – this is super private, and a proper family backyard."
Dave nodded proudly as he revealed the boys didn't have a landscaper.
"They did it themselves with Duncan," he said of former Block contestant Duncan Miller.
There was one aspect in particular that really impressed him.
"This is not just grass, this is Lilydale turf. They're the best in the business. This is tough, cricket, footy, whatever you like," he said.
Marty continued: "People can choose to envisage their kids running around and if they want to add things later they can!"
But Shaynna had a sour look on her face... she wasn't feeling it.
"I've just come from two environments that had beautiful shapes to them and they felt different..." she sighed.
"It makes sense now that the guys did it... straight line, Corten steel, and we'll chuck everything on the sides."
Dave was more optimistic.
"It might just sell the place, because you can do whatever you like to this garden," he praised.
But Darren had some negatives of his own to unpack.
He said that because they minimised the landscaping, the boys should have at least finished the deck.
He could see the pedestal and the battens underneath – a big no no.
The boys did style with a nice glass of wine on the side – they've listened to feedback!
Shortly after a brief moment of criticism, the judges then turned the corner...
Everything changed when they saw it.
Wowza.
"Oh my God! What on earth," Shaynna gasped at the site.
"I apologise. I apologise for what I said! This is insane.
"We've got swing sets, a sculpture, we now have all the perks. That makes sense it's a football pitch! It makes sense. This is crazy."
Back at HQ, Scotty said that the boys delivering the largest pool area all day garnered a big thumbs up.
"The biggest pool is a massive selling feature," Marty explained. "It separates them from the others."
