Exclusive: The teams reveal which is their favourite home on The Block - besides their own

EXCLUSIVE: The Block is, of course, a competition – but that doesn't mean the Blockheads can't appreciate the hard work of their rivals.

In an exclusive and unseen video, the pairs reveal which of the season's homes besides their own they are most impressed by – and there is a clear favourite.

"There's not one house that we dislike," Kristian said.

"But I think our favourite is Courtney and Grant's," Mimi added, as Kristian praised House 2's "finesse" and "curves".

"[Courtney's] got such an eye for design, their house is definitely the most well-thought out and the most well-finished I think," he said.

Ricky and Haydn agreed, praising Courtney and Grant's signature curves and 'Moderterranean' style.

"I think they had a clear vision when they came into The Block what they wanted to do," Ricky praised.

Of course, Courtney and Grant could not choose their own house but in the video, the pair reveal the house they often agreed deserved the Room Reveal win over them.

Grant also reflected on the room he was "really harsh on" during Open for Inspections.

"There's definitely weeks where we didn't win where we walked into the room and were like 'this deserves it,'" Courtney agreed.

Their pride and joy is their home in the western Sydney suburb of Denham Court, which they built and styled. Although not having a lot of renovating experience, they are not complete beginners.

They think their work lives, which include design and landscaping backgrounds, will really help them on The Block when it comes to experience.

Best mates Haydn and Ricky had a mammoth first week, when Haydn's child was born early – leaving his best pal to continue renovations alone.
