The teams go head-to-head in a 10 minute battle to win $5,000 on The Block 2023

"It's always a good thing when Shelley drops by, because there's always money involved!" Kristy said during Episode 15 of The Block.

And frankly she's not wrong, as during the episode we saw Shelley Craft emerge and tell the teams to, "Get in your Rangers and head to Freedom and I'll see you there!"

The competition was simple: One member of each team would have 10 minutes to dress a table for guests of their choice.

The winner would nab $5,000 worth of Freedom vouchers.

"Select a table, dress a table and sell a table to us as your judges about who is coming to dinner," Shelley said about herself and Freedom interior designer Deb, before the teams frantically dashed around the store to craft their perfect layout.

It's fair to say the 10 minutes they were given went rapidly.

Gian created a simple design for his table, creating a "couples' night" setting complete with simple glasses and a basic set-up with a colour scheme consistent with the chairs.

Kristy offered a relatable design for hers. "It's going to be one of those meals that you get delivered and plate like you made it yourself," she said.

Kyle designed a nice casual lunch for friends, taking inspiration from "natural elements" with a splash of colour for the centerpiece.

"This is friends over to dinner," he said. "A nice casual lunch, a pop of colour... obviously with the pendant I didn't want to go too high."

"Where have you been hiding?" Shelley said. "I've been telling everyone the whole time I've got a little bit of style!" he laughed in response.

Liberty designed a table for her three single friends, keeping things "simple" so there would be room for all of the food. Leah, on the other hand, dressed her table to impress with a stunning floral centerpiece in the middle.

But who won the coveted $5,000?

"You're the winner!" Deb announced.
