'You are on The Block': Meet the teams taking on the Brighton renovation in 2020
The Block, Australia's most successful renovation reality program, returns soon for an incredible 16th season — stepping back through time for a challenge like no other.
This season will have plenty of firsts, kicking off with the first-ever dad and daughter team of Harry and Tash.

Other teams taking on the challenge this year are Western Sydney couple Sarah and George, South Australian farmers Daniel and Jade, Western Australian parents Luke and Jasmin and Queensland battlers Jimmy and Tam.
For a few of these couples, 2020 wasn't the first season of the show they applied for, so finally getting told they were on The Block was an emotional moment.

For Jimmy and Tam, it's been years of trying to get their application over the line.
"We've struggled in the past with being able to come up with funds to get ahead in life," Tam explained via video call.
The voice on the other end of the call asked if they would "kill it" on the show, to which they replied "absolutely".
After being told they had done it and were contestants on the show, both of them burst into tears as they celebrated.
Meanwhile, Sarah and George were given a "quiz" over a video call and at the end the voice on the other end asked them to read the answers back.
"You are on The Block," they read out loud together — George was more shocked than anyone.
