Bride-to-be Rachel has had no luck in the world of online dating and was ready to try something drastically different.
That's something Sydney groom Steven can definitely relate to.

"I haven't been in a serious relationship for 10 years and I'm feeling it now in my mid-30s, that sense of emptiness in my life," he said.
"I'm definitely ready to meet someone."
Rachel and Steven have similar experiences and the experts think this will make for a very good match. Are they right?

Rachel looked stunning in an Anna Campbell dress.
"A heart of gold is definitely how I describe my man. For me, looks only are skin deep – I'm looking for someone who's going to make me feel secure," she said.
Could Steven be that man?
Groom Steven was dashing in his navy Peter Jackson suit with light pink tie.
He couldn't hide his nerves as the moment he met his bride crept closer.
"I've got insecurities. I'm not the fittest guy in the world, I'm not the tallest guy in the world. That might make people swipe left..
"I'm very aware I'm far from perfect, she might not like me!"
Their wedding took place on The Jackson, a luxury superyacht in Sydney harbour – perfect for marine technician Steven!
"You know the saying 'nice guys finish last?' Well, I think today's gonna be different," he said.
From the smile on his face, it was clear that positivity only grew tenfold when he set eyes upon his bride!
It was a promising start as they were both very happy on first impression.
"She had a big smile and the moment we met it just went, 'ahhh, it's all good, we're okay here,'" Steven said.
Marrying a stranger is obviously a strange situation and from the moment Rachel spotted her groom, she couldn't help but burst into nervous laughter.
And more nervous laughter.
And even more nervous laughter.
"Is there something in my teeth?" Steven joked.
Thankfully, there was not! Once she pulled herself together, it was time to exchange vows.
Rachel went first and she called out her big laugh and sense of humour.
"My laugh is a gateway sound. One giggle leads to another, maybe a snort here and there and then before you know it, we're in stitches just laughing, not even sure what got us laughing in the first place," she said.
And yes, it did elicit laughter from everyone in the room!
Rachel opened up about her 14 years of being single.
"I have tried always to meet someone from the dating apps to the dating events. It's hard out there and in my experience, apps are all about judging people purely on looks. Being honest in this moment, I had given up on the idea of ever finding someone."
Steven knew they'd have lots of common ground to hopefully build a relationship from.
"I can relate, I've been single for a long time and I know the battles that's out there," he said.
Next were Steven's vows, and their compatibility was obvious from how many of the same things they spoke about.
"I've been single for over a decade, and I've struggled to meet a potential partner due to the modern dating techniques such as online dating, so taking this huge leap of faith is my way of showing how committed I am to finding a deep and hopefully life-changing relationship," he said.
"Can I give you a hug?" Rachel instantly reacted to the vows.
"I resonated with so much in them. It sounds like we've both had very similar experiences and journeys," she said.
