Watch: Jamie finally meets Dave's father after missing their wedding due to cancer diagnosis - as he gives a heartwarming update
Dave was heartbroken when his father couldn't make his wedding to Jamie on Married At First Sight.
Early on in the season, we learned Dave's dad Harold was battling cancer.
"He's just started chemo for the fourth time," the 36-year-old explained at the time.

During Homestays Week, Jamie finally had the chance to meet the most important person in Dave's life.
Hoping to show his commitment to Jamie, Dave invited his wife to join him in an emotional reunion with his father, who also had some news to share.
"I'm about to see my dad for the first time in a while," said Dave.

"Seeing dad over the last four years, it does take a lot out of me because you take it all onboard... so hopefully this visit is different."

This visit would be different. This time, Dave had Jamie by his side.
"I've missed him," Howard smiled after he embraced his son. "I know he's been a bit upset being so far away from home. That's why you really don't say a lot, because you know it's going to affect other people."
During this visit however, Howard had a lot to say.
He revealed two of his tumours had significantly shrunk and a third tumour was gone.
"Another four doses should hopefully clean it up," he explained.
Dave was lost for words.

"I didn't expect to hear anything like that," Dave said at last.
"I'm so glad that my dad has turned the corner, he's been on my mind since day one. It's been difficult," said Dave.
"I'm super, super happy. A bit emotional but happy," he smiled.

It was a turnaround moment for Dave and Jamie's relationship too.

"It was super important for her to meet you," Dave said, before Jamie said the one line that confirmed exactly where their relationship was heading.
