Homestays Week is a huge phase for the Married At First Sight couples.
It gives the brides and grooms a chance to see where their partners are from and if they can see themselves living there.
Homestays Week also gives us viewers a chance to have a bit of a sticky beak around their humble abodes.

After all, you can tell a lot about a person from the way they keep their headquarters.
After spending some time in Jacqui's Manly apartment it was time to travel an hour-and-a-half across the city to south west Sydney.
There, Ryan was proud to show off the home he'd bought himself, although Jacqui's opinion of it wasn't quite the same...

"I did work very hard to get this place, it's not massive but as a solo homeowner in Sydney I'm really proud of it," Ryan said.
As he should be!
But Ryan was worried that wife Jacqui could "sometimes be judgmental" due to her high standards.
"If she's not accepting of it, this relationship can't progress," he issued what seemed to be an ultimatum.
"This is the ultimate test for me."

Jacqui went in to Ryan's home with excitement to see his stuff and learn more about him as a person.
But it became obvious that the excitement was waning as Jacqui got a grand tour of Ryan HQ.
First stop was the living room and what looks to be a very comfy couch.

Then came what Ryan described as the "main area" and functioned as a study/living/den space.
In it were some of Ryan's most prized possessions...

Ryan grinned ear-to-ear as he showed off his pride and joy – a 250-year-old antique Edo period Japanese Katana sword.

Then came Ryan's empty vision board, but in his defence he hasn't been living there for two months.
With Jacqui and Ryan's level of ambition we're sure this bad boy will be filled up in no time!
But wait there's more....

Ryan had a mantle of odds and ends he'd collected from around the world.
"That's from when I did the massive tour, it's got a symbol from every country. That stein is from Germany, there's a sword from the Tower of London," Ryan pointed out.
"It's not quite hoarding, it's just memories."

As Jacqui had a closer look at some of Ryan's decor choices she reflected.
"It was eye-opening to see [Ryan's] home," Jacqui started sobbing.
"I just think he's been alone here for seven years and maybe he isn't even aware of how lonely he is.
"It really reminds me of the elderly because a lot of the elderly live in homes where they're alone for seven, 10, 15, years."

We're not sure what Ryan's dog Freya thought of new house guest Jacqui.

From one friendly doggo to the next.
Jamie and Dave both hail from Melbourne and decided to stay separately in their own homes for the start of Homestays Week.
But as the couple found their rhythm again they thought it was time to see move back in together.
Dave bid goodbye to his pet pal as he prepared to head to wife Jamie's place across Melbourne.
