Exclusive: British star Lucinda does a hilarious attempt at the Aussie accent in Love Island Australia 2023

It might be called Love Island Australia, but the Brits are commanding attention in the Villa.

With Englishman Ollie and Love Island UK star Lucinda there's plenty of British influence in Season 5.

In an exclusive video – which you can watch above – Ben and Lucinda got to chatting about some of the differences and similarities between Aussies and Brits.

The two were equally mesmerized by each other's accents and even had a crack at impersonating one another.

You can catch their hilarious impersonations in the video above.

"I am so bad at Australian accents," Lucinda giggled after reciting the classic "Put a shrimp on the barbie" line.

All of Australia breathed a sigh of relief as Ben explained that Australians do not in fact use that phrase.

"I feel like Australians are like Brits," Lucinda explained.

"We dress the same, we speak the same language... isn't it weird that we live on the other side of the world but we are really similar?"
