The match-making reality show My Mum Your Dad is returning for Season 2 very soon.

The series, hosted by Kate Langbroek, won the hearts of the nation when it premiered in November 2022, and now a whole new set of parents are searching for love.

There's only a few weeks to go before the brand new series premieres.

Season 2 will officially launch on Tuesday October 31 on Channel 9 and 9Now.

What can we expect in Season 2 and how does the show work?

Host Kate Langbroek is back and ready to help a new group of single parents find love in My Mum Your Dad Season 2.

While the parents take up residence in a brand-new luxury Retreat, their adult children settle into an updated hi-tech spy centre in the Bunker, where they will take full control of their parents' dating life – and they're not holding back.

Last series the kids were a secret. This series the parents have given their offspring their blessing to play matchmaker and watch all the cringeworthy and awkward dating moments.

Some kids may get more than they signed up for. Six men and seven women will enter the Retreat and experience real connections and heartbreak as they put their trust in their kids to find the best partner for them.

The singles will get to enjoy dates, glamorous parties and pool parties in order to find a connection. From the beginning, the kids hold all the cards. They have the power to influence all the dates from the comfort of the Bunker across the road.

The influence starts with gaining vital intel about who all the singles are, then deciding who the first-date couples will be.

Throughout the experience Kate will continue to feed intel to the kids to help them make the most informed decisions for their parents.

Children are a package deal when you date a single parent, so who better to meddle in their parents' dating life than the ones who have to deal with the partners too?

Taking their influence to the next level, the kids will go undercover on dates to see firsthand who is best suited for their parents – and also have the power to send parents home.

There will be truth bombs, drama and romance from both parents and their children on the journey to the ultimate test, the Blessing Ceremony.

For the relationships that make it to the Blessing Ceremony, it's make or break. Will the kids approve of the relationship? Or will the kids have seen enough to end it all?

Who is the host of My Mum Your Dad?

Kate Langbroek is one of Australia's most beloved media personalities. Her ferocious wit, playfulness and irreverence have made her an audience favourite in a career that has spanned prime-time television, top-rating Breakfast and Drive-time radio, acting, scriptwriting and journalism.

Kate first came to our attention on Triple R radio in the mid-1990s and then as a regular on The Panel. She went on to guest on other popular shows like Thank God You're Here and Dancing with the Stars.

In 2001, Kate helped to catapult start-up radio station Nova 100 to instant ratings success. Along with co-host Dave "Hughesy" Hughes, she continued her stellar radio career on SCA's Hit! Network.

While juggling a frenetic career, marriage and parenthood, Kate and her husband Peter decided to make life even more interesting by packing up their four kids and moving to Bologna in Italy.

The result is Kate's first book, Ciao Bella! Six Take Italy. In 2022, Kate appeared on the ARN Network, broadcasting nationally every weekday on KIIS FM's 3pm Pick-Up and was seen on TV as host of My Mum Your Dad.
