Meet the parents looking for love and their adult children who are ready to help them do it on My Mum Your Dad

Australia's hearts will be opened to a whole new world of grown-up love in My Mum Your Dad which premieres on Monday November 7 on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Kate Langbroek presents this heartfelt series about single parents looking for love for the second time around. But what they don't know is their adult children are secretly guiding them through the perils of dating.

While this group of brave mums and dads are gathered at a luxury retreat, their kids have taken up residence in a remote bunker and watching their parents' every move.

Not only do they have their parents under surveillance, they also have a big hand in who they date as their parents navigate this new territory.

These parents will find themselves in a raw and vulnerable position that their kids have never seen before. From touching moments, major breakthroughs and shocking confessions to funny, unguarded confessions, the parents lay it all on the line in the search for love.

Meet the Mums and their kids

Mum: Petula

Age: 50

Psychic Medium, Mother of Three (21, 15, 8)

Petula is a fun, quirky, high-energy woman. Being a psychic medium, she says it can either be a help or a hindrance to her dating life. She has a bubbly and positive outlook on life that draws people to her.

Son: Drhys

Drhys is a charismatic tradie, very protective of his mum. He thinks she needs help to find her man. He is all for his mum meeting someone new, but draws the line at talking about intimacy.

Mum: Mel

Age: 56

Boutique Store Worker, Mother of Three (31, 30, 21)

Mel is petrified of putting herself back out into the dating world. Her fear of getting hurt again has held her back until now, and she is finally ready to rediscover her mojo. She's still finding her feet in the new dating world, but with encouragement from her son she is ready to give love a go.

Son: Sam

Sam has the type of personality to bring a smile to anyone's face. He is sharp-tongued, witty and very sassy. He knows what his mum deserves and isn't willing to let her settle for anything less.

Carole is a firecracker who lifts the energy in any room. She is a breast cancer survivor with a heart of gold and can find the humour in anything and everything. Carole hasn't been in a relationship since she dated her daughter's father more than 20 years ago.

Daughter: Pricilla

Pricilla sees herself as the mum in this relationship. She and Carole are very close, but she's definitely ready for her mum to have a loving partner.

Mum: Michelle

Age: 51

Michelle is an air hostess with the mostest, a gregarious whirlwind and the life of the party. She's never lost for words.

Daughter: Chloe

Chloe is not afraid to point out red flags in men for her mum – she's her ultimate wingman. Any potential partner will need to pass the "Chloe test".

Milli and Kristy are BFFs, best friends forever, and rarely far from each other's side. They live, work and go out together.

Darren is a wealthy, high-flying entrepreneur who loves the good life and owns a luxury coach company. He's the life and soul of the party, does the splits as his party trick, and loves being the centre of attention.

Daughter: Tess

Tess adores her dad and works alongside him in the family business. She lives a quieter life than Darren and has had to set some boundaries about who he can date.

Dad: Charlie

Age: 55

Farmer & Liquor Maker, Father of One (23)

Charlie's 16-year marriage broke down seven years ago and he's dated on and off since, but ultimately all his energy has gone into his work, which is why his relationships usually end.

Daughter: Eliza

Eliza's dry wit and facial expressions give away everything, especially when it comes to her dad's more intimate moments. She has had some hilarious encounters with women that her dad has seen and doesn't hold back when telling her dad her thoughts.

Dad: Heath

Age: 51

Firefighter, Father of Two (23 & 21)

Heath presents as the strong, stoic firefighter, but he is really a big softy. He can open up about his emotions and tear up when it comes to his kids. He has no problem meeting women, but admits that it rarely goes beyond a quick coffee date.

Heath separated from his wife five years ago and has since become the mum and dad to his kids. He hasn't had a relationship since the split.

Dad: Haydn

Haydn is a confident guy who loves sports and the outdoors. He looks up to his dad and knows that he's a catch. He has a strong opinion about the women Heath dates and will have no issue voicing his concerns.

Tim is a muso who loves rock and has an avid guitar collection. He's a cool, calm and collected father, passionate about changing the stigma associated with mental health and in touch with his emotions.

Son: James

James is a social media star who is confident and sure of himself, but also has his dad's laidback attitude.

Dad: Neil

Age: 59

National Sales Manager in Sports Construction, Father of Three (33, 21, 18)

Neil is an extrovert who loves being the centre of attention. He prefers using his charm and card tricks to meet women instead of dating apps. He is an ex-AFL player for St Kilda and has travelled the world building sporting arenas.

Dylan is a laidback bartender who can come out of his shell around people his own age. He thinks his dad's biggest issue when it comes to dating is commitment, and knows his dad is a romantic at heart.

Basketball Skills Shooting Coach, Father of One (23)

Roe is as cool as they come. He's a fit, suave businessman originally from Florida who moved to Australia while on a basketball tour in 2014. This former pro basketball player now runs the Draft City Ballers competition.

Son: Sachem

Sachem is a smart and creative musician who raps and sings. He is also a spoken poet and takes pride in his art forms. Sachem wants his dad to find the perfect woman in the Retreat.

Dad: Shane

Age: 48

Construction Business Owner, Father of Two (28 & 26)

Shane is an old-school romantic, steeped in old-fashioned values and chivalry. He likes to be spontaneous and believes in instant attraction.

Daughter: Kayla

Kayla is a beautifully brash and opinionated young woman. She isn't afraid to tell it like it is, especially when it comes to her dad's partners, and will definitely speak her mind when she thinks they have to go.
