The emblems for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games have been officially unveiled, albeit two days early.

Brisbane 2032 minister Tim Mander unveiled the emblems on the Gold Coast on Saturday morning after they were accidentally leaked online.

The identical emblems – save for different colours – are inspired by the cockatoo. The Olympics emblem is the pink cockatoo, and the sulphur-crested for the Paralympics.

"This is an incredibly important milestone as we head to 2032, which is just less than six years away," Mander said.

“It’s an emblem that embodies the cheeky nature of the Queensland spirit, it’s an emblem that reflects our state and symbolises it, it’s an emblem that will be synonymous with the Games and will be known for decades to come.”

Skateboarder Arisa Trew – who was just 14 when she won gold in the women’s park at Paris 2024 – was a massive fan of the emblem.

“Seeing the full emblem is really cool. I love it so much,” she said.

"I love the hidden message … it's Queensland and the Olympic flame."

The six elements that make up the emblems were being revealed daily on Nine’s Today, before the whole thing was to be unveiled on Monday.

The treasure hunt started in Cairns on Tuesday, before heading to Townsville, Rockhampton and the Sunshine Coast on Friday. The Gold Coast and Brisbane were to wrap up the tour.

However, the preview of a YouTube video on the official Brisbane 2032 channel, scheduled to go live on Monday night, included the emblems.

It was removed shortly after.
