‘Half-eaten mango?’: Third piece of Brisbane 2032 emblem revealed
The third piece of the Brisbane 2032 emblem has been revealed by Olympic cycling legend Anna Meares and Paralympic wheelchair star Angie Ballard.
After two similarly shaped objects – possibly sun rays or leaves – were revealed in Cairns on Tuesday and Townsville on Wednesday, this round pink object was unveiled on the banks of the Fitzroy River in Rockhampton, which will host the rowing.

It’s gold-yellow, round, and looks as if someone has taken a bite out of it.
But like the first two objects, just what this third element is had the legends stumped.
“I was thinking a bird of paradise or something along those lines, but this has thrown me a little bit,” Ballard said on Nine’s Today on Thursday morning, pondering how the three elements would fit together.
Mears suggested it might be a bit more reptilian.
“I actually thought it could be a bearded dragon – an artistic version of a bearded dragon and maybe this is part of its face,” she said.
Mears was Australia’s Chef de Mission at Paris 2024. She will reprise the role at Los Angeles 2028.
Today reporter Jessica Millward was joined by several Rocky schoolkids, one of which suggested it might have been a half-eaten mango.
Given Rockhampton is famous for producing the honey gold mango, young matey could be right on the money.
The six elements of the Brisbane 2032 emblem are being "found" by Aussie sports legends every day until Sunday, before the whole emblem itself is revealed on Monday.
