'Like you usually do': Benji Marshall offers terse reply amid Lachlan Galvin contract meeting

Benji Marshall has avoided going into too much detail around the future of Lachlan Galvin as the Wests Tigers board prepares to meet to discuss his contract.

Galvin's management told the Tigers in April they would not be agreeing or seeking a new deal with the club.

The decision was met with backlash, despite his contract not ending until late in 2026. On the back of social media posts by teammates and the situation at the time, a threat of legal action was sent to the Tigers around bullying accusations.

On Friday, news broke that the Tigers board would meet to discuss their options on Monday.

After the Tigers' loss to the Rabbitohs, Marshall was asked about the upcoming meeting, and whether he had any thoughts on the situation.

"I do, but it's not one I'm going to share," he said.

"That's up to (the board) whatever happens there but I'm not going to comment on it to be honest."

Marshall simply agreed the situation is no longer a distraction when asked.

It was then put to the Tigers coach whether he expects clarity to come from the meeting.

He met the question with a sly reply.

"I'm sure you'll find out, like you usually do," he said.

That answer brought about a smirk from Marshall and his captain Api Koroisau who was sitting next to him.
