Stella Klim’s controversial race day fashion opinion
Stella Klim, the daughter of Aussie swimming legend Michael Klim, pulled her look together last minute – which makes this all the more impressive!
“Paul, my stylist from Styled by Bloom, always pulls through,” she shared of her baby yellow Atoìr look.

While fascinators are the MVP of headpieces, Klim admitted she was not a fan.
“I try and steer away from those big fascinators on a big day like this when I know it’s going to be long,” she admitted, turning around to reveal her preferred headpiece instead.
“I’ve only just got a little bit of a bow in the back of my hair,” she said.
So the rumours are true...

BREAKING: Waller fined for race day treatment
Top trainer Chris Waller has been fined $50,000 by Racing Victoria for administering race day treatment to the legs of Asterix, which resulted in the horse being scratched from the Melbourne Cup.
Waller explained it was one of his stable staff who made the error - see his quotes below.
Waller will still have Soul Of Spain running in the great race at 3pm.
Nice moment with beaten jockey
Top jockeys Rachel King and Craig Williams share a nice moment after race four.
It looked like King’s mount Fovea was home and hosed, before a diving Peyton - ridden by Zac Lloyd - pinched it in the final 50 metres.
“She was probably too quick for her own good,” trainer Bjorn Baker told connections post-race.

Jules Neale soaks in her big moment
Jules Neale’s Melbourne Cup day is quite literally bucket list stuff!
“I’ve never been to a Melbourne Cup before,” she told nine.com.au. “It’s been on my bucket list to do for a while, but yeah, today’s the first day!“

It was a fly-in, fly-out trip across the country for the Perth-based mother-of-two.
“Just doing one day and then getting back to mum life,” she shared.
It’s been a turbulent year for the 36-year-old hairdresser, who also spilled on what her day-to-day has looked like since moving back to WA following her split from her AFL ex, Lachie Neale.

Their one goal: back winners!

Waller explains mistake behind horse scratching
Champion trainer Chris Waller has spoken to News Corp after his horse Asterix was forced out of the Melbourne Cup.
Racing Victoria stewarts are investigating after the horse was administered treatment this morning, which is not allowed.
“The horse gets the same treatment every day, it’s a very basic liniment most stables use and I guess the pressure of race day, the person that looks after the horse, put it on his legs right in front of the security guard, nothing to hide,” Waller said.
“The pressure of raceday, a very simple mistake. Nothing was hidden, the security guard was right there, as soon as it happened we knew there was a problem.
“It’s not her fault, I’ve got to wear the responsibility, it’s my team. It’s rare for us to make mistakes but the pressure of raceday, you can’t explain how it affects everybody, everyone is on edge on Melbourne Cup Day and you think a little bit differently.”
Bec Judd teases her arrival
Bec Judd always makes a splash on Cup Day, and it looks like this year will be no different – at least, we hope!
The Birdcage regular reposted footage from her make-up artist Kate Fletcher, showing her glam process getting underway.
But unless she’s planning to make a very interesting statement in her Jaggad trackies, we’ll have to wait a little longer to see the full look!
