Every Aussie picked in the IPL auction

Australians featured heavily in the 2024 IPL auction, with Ricky Ponting taking a particular liking to his countrymen at Punjab Kings.

Mitchell Starc, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Spencer Johnson were all picked up by clubs, but some were hit with significant pay cuts.

The West Australian joins Ricky Ponting's side, among a host of other Aussies.

The 28-year-old ends a three-season stint with Mumbai Indians to link back up with his first IPL team.

David was sold for just under $550,000 to RCB.

The Aussie originally went for around $1.5m to Mumbai but has now taken a $950k pay cut.

Inglis continues a stellar year which included captaining Australia in white-ball cricket.

Starc broke the record last auction for the biggest payday when he went to Kolkata Knight Riders.

That record came only minutes after Pat Cummins had broken the previous one.

Starc will be in different colours at the Capitals, and was sold for $2.14m.

Johnson appears to be a direct replacement for Mitchell Starc at the reigning champions.

But it came at a financial cost for the left-armer.

Johnson was sold to KKR for $500k, having been bought for $1.78m last year by Gujarat Titans.
