We'll be back tomorrow.

Carey and Smith charge on

Lachlan Harper

Well these two will be back tomorrow.

Lahiru Kamara certainly put all his effort into that last over. The grunting was easy to hear.

He was narrowing in on the pads of Carey trying to get the lbw.

But it didn't bring a wicket and that's stumps.

Carey finishes on 139 and Smith is not out on 120.

"Steve Smith, he's officially back," Greg Blewett said on Seven.

"It has been Australia's day," Trent Copeland added.

Australia finishes at 3-330 and lead by 73 runs.

"You'd think that Australia are going to win this Test match now," Blewett said.

This partnership sits at 239.

Two overs left

Lachlan Harper

That's all that's left today.

This partnership is currently at 230.

"This has been all Australia on day two of this Test match," Trent Copeland said on Seven.

"Steve Smith has firmly dropped the anchor, he's just happy to get through the day's play," Greg Blewett added.

Record Carey is aiming for

Lachlan Harper

Alex Carey is on track to eclipsing Adam Gilchrist.

Gilchrist's 144 against Sri Lanka in Kandy in 2004 against Sri Lanka is the highest Test score by an Aussie keeper in Asia.

His 144 against Bangladesh at Fatullah in 2006 is the on the same pedestal.

Bit of trouble for Alex Carey!

Steve Smith sent him back during a run but fortunately Carey the replay shows he was comfortably safe.

THERE IT IS

Alex Carey, the sweeping king!

Two fours in a row with the shot and he now was a century!

"Outstanding from Alex Carey, he has played beautifully," Greg Blewett said on Seven.

Smith is exhausted

During the drinks break, Steve Smith was notably given the king's treatment.

He had a towel over his head and a chair was brought out to him.

That chair looked pretty comfortable too.

"Smudge is sinking into the ground there," Trent Copeland said on Seven.

"They've brought out a chair from the dressing room that's sunk into the outfield."

A word from Blewett about Smith

Lachlan Harper

Greg Blewett a fan of Adam Collins' work in the commentary box.

"Some good commentary over there calling it Steve Smith's second coming because it really is," he said on Seven.

"It's great to see a champion of the game really get back into some tip top form."

He's done it!

Steve Smith has another century!

He smashed a rank half-tracker from Kamindu Mendis to the boundary and that's a century off 191 balls.

"This truly is the second coming on Steve Smith, the ton machine," caller Adam Collins said on the coverage.

Smith now has 36 Test hundreds to his name.
