Australia vs India LIVE: Khawaja's swipe at selectors
Usman Khawaja has taken a subtle swipe at the Australian selectors who left him in the Test wilderness for more than two years after ticking off a "special" career milestone in India.
Khawaja continued his strong form, recording an unbeaten century to ensure Australia ended day one of the fourth Test on top after winning the toss and electing to bat first.
The left-hander finished the day on 104 not out and combined with Cameron Green (49 not out) for an unbeaten 85-run partnership that allowed Australia to reach 4-255 at stumps.

Australia vs India LIVE: Stumps
A wonderful final hour for Australia puts them on top to end day one!
The tourists finish the day on 4-255 after an unbeaten 85-run stand from Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green.
The 85 runs have come from just 116 deliveries and they've seized back the momentum after India threatened to break the batting lineup open.
Khawaja finishes the day unbeaten on 104 off 251 deliveries while Green heads into the dressing room on 49 off 64 balls.
Australia scored at six runs an over since India took the new ball with nine overs left.
Australia vs India LIVE: Khawaja brings up century
A century for Usman Khawaja!
The Australian opener brings up his 14th Test century with a flick on the leg side through to the boundary.
It's his first century in India and against India and there won't be too many more innings that Khawaja is more proud of than that one.
"He's yielded the dividends of great patience today, 246 deliveries just a testimony to his concentration and skill," Matthew Hayden says on commentary.
"He's looked very much in control in this series. This is what was needed, a hundred. He needs to get a big hundred as well, bat once and bat India out of the game."

Australia vs India LIVE: Khawaja nearing century
The runs are beginning to flow for Australia with this new ball!

Just eight away from what would be one of the more rewarding centuries in his Test career.
Rohit has lost patience with Umesh, Ashwin coming on straight away.
Australia vs India LIVE: Paceman blasted over bowling
Umesh Yadav has not impressed Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar with that first over with the new rock.
Yadav ambled in and delivered most of the balls in that over well below his usual pace, and Cam Green took full advantage, hitting 12 runs off the over.
"If you're going to get the new ball and you're going to bowl this kind of stuff, you might as well stay at fine leg," a fuming Gavaskar says on commentary.
"It's almost like Umesh Yadav was caught off guard," Matthew Hayden adds.
"You expect more from your fast bowlers. They bowled the wrong length, so it's a little opportunity missed from India."
"The drop in pace suggests that it came to him unexpectedly," Ravi Shastri says.
Could we see a little counter-attack here from the Aussies?
Australia vs India LIVE: New ball taken
Alright then, we've got nine overs to go today and Rohit has gone for the new ball.
Umesh Yadav to get first crack at it.

Khawaja 88 off 229 in what's been an absolute grind of an innings.
Australia vs India LIVE: New ball available
Decision time for Rohit Sharma here.
We're 80 overs into the Australian innings so India can opt to go for the second new ball here if they choose to do so.
Ashwin and Axar operating at the moment.
Australia vs India LIVE: Partnership building
It's been a good response from Cam Green since he came in, with Australia's star all-rounder looking relatively comfortable out there.
Partnership is up to 22 off 26 deliveries with Usman Khawaja.
Khawaja into the 80s now, he must surely be starting to think about the three-figure mark.
There's been just one batter to make a century this series, that being Indian captain Rohit Sharma's 120 in the first Test.
Australia vs India LIVE: Khawaja hit by errant throw
A moment of frustration for Usman Khawaja before he forces a smile.
The Aussie opener had just dodged a searing short delivery from Mohammed Shami and ended up briefly out of his crease as he lost his balance.
Indian wicketkeeper KS Bharat, sensing a run out opportunity, attempted to throw down the stumps at the batter's end, but a wild throw ended up hitting an unsuspecting Khawaja in the back of the leg.
Khawaja looks towards Bharat who apologises straight away and offers a look of disappointment after being hit.
