198-game veteran Levi Casboult has retired.

Casboult has been at the Suns for three seasons after a long career at Carlton.

"It's been a long time coming, I can look back and say I got the most out of myself and I left no stone unturned over 15 years," he said in a club statement.

"I have met so many incredible people and I will always be grateful for everything my career has given me.

"My greatest achievement is my family and I think that coincides with when I started playing my best footy, it gave me such a good perspective on life and a greater purpose.

"I'm now looking forward to weekends with the family, caravanning together, watching kids' sport, supporting Hayley as she chases her dreams, and embracing my favourite role yet - just being Dad."

Casboult was drafted in 2009 with pick 44 in the rookie draft.

AFL great Brad Johnson has given a massive wrap to Gold Coast Suns Bailey Humphrey.

Humphrey is now 40 matches into his career after debuting at 18 in 2023.

Johnson believes there's parallels between his career and Dustin Martin.

"Humphrey could become Dusty of the future," he declared on AFL Trade Radio.

"Look at the way Dusty's early career was ... you can't tell me Humphrey hasn't got the physical attributes.

"He will explode in this competition. This guy's attributes are as good as I've seen."

Gary Rohan is not calling time on his career anytime soon.

The delisted Geelong star has expressed his interest to receive an AFL lifeline after confirming his time at the Cats has officially come to an end.

"I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to the @geelongcats for an incredible 6 years," he wrote on Instagram.

"The boots definitely aren't hung up yet (don't worry, my head is cherry ripe!) as I still have more to give to this game and hope that my AFL career continues."

Max King signed a monster six-year deal that will see him remain at St Kilda until the end of 2032. 

King, who was contracted until 2026, had been in conversations with the club about a contract extension and wasted no time putting pen to paper. 

"I understand it. St Kilda aren't going out on a limb right and saying 'here Max, here is six years' when no one else on the marketplace would come anywhere close," Josh Jenkins said on AFL Trade Radio.

"They are just fending off what others would do, they are coming to the party because there would be two to six clubs that would offer this contract to the player."

Jack Graham will depart Richmond and will join West Coast as a free agent. 

According to AFL.com reporter Riley Beveridge, the two-time premiership player informed Richmond of his decision on Monday afternoon. 

Compensation for his exit has not been confirmed.

Kysaiah Pickett is staying in Victoria. 

"He won't be going anywhere," Melbourne list manager Tim Lamb said.

"He obviously has strong family ties in South Australia… he loves the Melbourne Footy Club and he will be staying with us."

The second trade has been confirmed.

North Melbourne have acquired West Coast forward Jack Darling for pick 67.

"We were looking to add some support to our forward line, and we're excited about what a player like Jack can bring," North Melbourne general manager Todd Viney said.

"Jack has great strength and ability to bring the ball to ground and chase and tackle, and we think his experience will benefit our young list enormously."

Carlton and Collingwood are leading the battle to recruit Dan Houston for 2025.

But with Carlton wanting to maintain their position in this year's draft, Josh Jenkins fears many will be disappointed.

"I would be disappointed if I was a Carlton fan and they took pick 12 to the draft and drafted a young man verse using that to acquire Dan Houston," he said on AFL Trade Radio.

"I think Houston in Carlton's team next year, based on 2024 when they were healthy - premiership contender."

Jenkins declared Melbourne should steer clear of re-entering the race for Houston.

"I don't have a view that Melbourne can compete for a premiership next year, so no, I wouldn't offer pick five if I were them. "

The first trade has been made!

Demons midfielder Alex Neal-Bullen has been traded to Adelaide for pick 28.

Adelaide has already secured the signature of Isaac Cummings as a free agent.

Crows' list boss Justin Reid said the club is elated to have acquired the leadership and experience of the 2021 premiership player.

"Alex is a quality player and person who will add an enormous amount to our Club," Reid said.

"Having experienced a premiership, he knows what success looks like and will bring valuable leadership both on and off the field for us.

"We're always excited to bring South Australians back home and we welcome Alex and his family to the Club."
