For Taylor Walker it’s been a long time between victories in September.

Nine years in fact.

The forward was full of praise for the fans.

“You can tell what it meant to them,” he told Seven.

“The last couple of home games they’ve come out in packs of people. I’m so grateful I’ve been able to play so many games at this ground.”

Given Nicks’ job is reportedly on the line in this finals series, the vocal criticism from a club legend and internal figure is worth noting.

“You’d think it’s high risk for not a lot of gain,” Ricciuto said of the move.

"It's either going to be seen as a masterstroke or them going too defensive too early."
