Sam Kerr shares first official photos from wedding to Kristie Mewis

Sam Kerr has shared the first photos from her intimate New Year's Eve wedding to Kristie Mewis.

The Matildas star, 32, posted two photos of herself with her 34-year-old bride.

The first showed Kerr and Mewis sharing a kiss, while the second showed the couple enjoying the festivities into the night. She captioned the post, "Wifey".

The couple wed in front of 120 wedding guests in Villa Dionysus, a Mediterranean-style villa in Swan Valley, a short drive outside of Perth.

They modelled a black-and-white dress code, with Kerr donning a single-breasted tuxedo by Hugo Boss and Mewis looking stunning in two different gowns.

She said "I do" in an off-the-shoulder, beaded mini-dress from Berta, followed by an elegant strapless dress from Kyha Studios. She later seemed to swap the skirt of the dress for another sequined miniskirt to enjoy the festivities more freely.

"My dress was my dream dress," Mewis told Vogue Australia, "I saw it and knew I couldn't move forward until I tried it on, and when I did, I knew that was my wedding dress without question."

Mewis' Rene Caovilla shoes completed the statement look, the pair encrusted with Swarovski crystals which snaked up in structural straps from the ankle in the designer's signature look.

Her veil was short and chic to complement her modern dress, wearing simple diamonds in her ears.

"Sam's accessories were unstated and simple. She didn't want anything flashy – just something classic and comfortable," Mewis shared of her new wife.

Their first child, son Jagger, who was born in May last year, was by their side on the day and was carried down the aisle by Kerr wearing a matching outfit.

One showed Kerr in her wedding tuxedo without the bow tie she was pictured wearing on the way to the ceremony, posing alongside two friends in front of a huge 2026 photo wall.

The second photo shows the view from Kerr's Crown Perth Hotel room with the caption, "No better place today".

Mewis also shared some snaps from the day before the wedding, wearing a white crop top and skirt combo and taking photos with Kerr, their son Jagger, and friends while celebrating their wedding.
