'I know it sounds insane, but AI is cleaning my house - and it's been a total game-changer'

I don't know about you, but I feel like I spend all of my time cleaning my house and just can't stay on top of things.

Between juggling work, a toddler, a dog, a never-ending to-do list and of course chores, my husband and I were finding every weekend became dedicated to cleaning – but that all went out the window if we went away, making the issue worse.

So, I did what everyone seems to be doing these days and turned to AI for help, and my god, it's changed my life.

Yes, I know it sounds insane, but AI is cleaning my house.

OK, so not literally cleaning it, of course – the closest we're going to get to that is a robot vacuum.

But AI has formulated the perfect cleaning routine for me and it's made the whole thing so much easier.

The way to do it is simple. First, I listed all the household cleaning tasks that needed to be done on a weekly basis, eg. deep-cleaning the kitchen, washing the bedding, washing towels, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, tidying up the lounge room, tidying bedrooms, the list goes on.

Then, plugging that list into the AI program, I asked it to create me a cleaning schedule broken up over five days. This was so I could split my tasks out over most of the week, while still leaving some days free.

Next thing I knew, I had a perfectly-crafted cleaning schedule, and instead of looking at my list, thinking 'oh God, where do I even start?' it was already done.

Sure, I could have written this all out myself, but using AI took out any of the personal feelings and pushing those jobs you constantly put off to the back of the list.

But I think the biggest way this helped me is by taking the mental maths side of things out of the equation.

Any parent knows your brain constantly has 1000 tabs open, so throwing in sorting out a cleaning plan can sometimes just feel like too much – especially when you add something like a sick kid and sleepless nights when most of your chores go out the window and it's just about getting through it.

The fact I could basically hand over my problem and get someone else to tell me what to do was exactly what I needed as a busy mum, and surprisingly it's really worked.

It's so easy to keep on top of everything from washing beds to mopping and everything in between because it's not just one huge overwhelming task – instead daily jobs that are pre-planned and so quick to tackle now.

So, for anyone looking at their messy house, going, "I just don't know where to start", I suggest turning to AI. While it won't do the cleaning for you, it's the next best thing.

Well, until I get a robot vacuum, that is.
