Prince William’s cheeky comment leaves Robert Irwin red-faced on The Graham Norton Show
Prince William made history as he appeared on The Graham Norton show, and the 44-year-old royal also shared a glimpse of his cheeky sense of humour.
The Prince of Wales sat on the show’s famous red sofa alongside Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham and two Australian stars, Cate Blanchett and Robert Irwin.

The latter was left red-faced after a six-word quip from the royal as the group discussed their lives in the spotlight and coming together for The Earthshot Prize.
Irwin got bashful when host Graham Norton flashed up photos from his Bonds campaign on-screen, which show the scantily clad wildlife warrior draped in snakes and spiders as he posed in the icon Aussie underwear.
“I can’t believe I’m looking at these with Prince William,” the 22-year-old said bashfully.
"It was an underwear commercial, obviously, but I wanted to kind of create a conservation element to it," Irwin explained of the theme to the shoot.
"I believe in bringing the message to an audience that might not ordinarily be in the world."
Norton continued flicking through photos before Irwin, including one featuring a Huntsman spider, which prompted a chat about milking spiders.
As Blanchett and Waddingham got sidetracked by the concept, Prince William surprised everyone.
“I’m still thinking about your Python,” the heir to the throne joked, leaving Irwin to face plant sideways onto the sofa in hysterics.

The father-of-three also talked briefly about meeting Taylor Swift backstage at Wembley with his two kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte, though they didn’t discuss the singer’s wedding, which Norton went to.
The royal, who was happy to simply be called William (“the Prince is silent”, Norton joked), relaxed across his appearance and joked about a recent appearance when a punter thought he was the singer Prince and wanted him to perform the hit Purple Rain.
The Prince of Wales also opened up about wanting to be a policeman and a DJ at various times while growing up, as well as his passion for films, especially Christopher Nolan films, as a way to “switch off”.
The Prince of Wales arrived on-set as a special guest about 11-minutes into the 50-minute episode and stayed on the sofa for the rest of the show.

William even surprised everyone again, when he flipped a carer mid-story during the famous red chair segment at the end of the show.
The segment invites members of the public to tell a funny story, but they get flipped in the chair if the host feels like it’s boring or unsavoury.
This time, Norton put the lever to flip the chair next to the royal, inviting him to use it – and he did.

“I can’t believe you did that,” Norton mocked, as the prince apologised.
Prince William made TV history as the first senior working member of the royal family to appear on a talk show, when the show went to air on Friday night in the UK (Saturday AEDT).
However, his former aunt, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York has appeared on the same show previously in 2009, long after her divorce from William’s uncle the former Prince Andrew.
