King Harald V of Norway laid to rest in royal-filled ceremony in Oslo
A plethora of royals from across Europe took part in the procession along the streets of Oslo to honour the much-loved king, who was on the throne for 35 years.
Experience
Karishma began her media career more than 20 years ago in Sydney, starting as an intern at both the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH) and Arena TV (part of Foxtel).
She then forged a career in TV for a decade in both in Australia and the UK, working as a producer and reporter, working for major companies such Seven Network, ITV and Channel 10.
After returning from a two-year stint in London, Karishma moved into the “future” and started working in digital journalism in 2014, returning to the SMH as well as working at News Corp and Daily Mail Australia.
In 2017, Karishma began at nine.com.au and headed back to the UK to report from there, covering news, entertainment, lifestyle and travel for the site.
Education
Karishma has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Western Sydney.
Across her career, Karishma’s also done training on Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier.
She’s also done both on-camera and voice training at industry recognised institutions over the years.
Awards and Recognition
Karishma has been part of the nine.com.au team to win the Outstanding Online News Breaking at the Kennedy Awards for 9news.com.au’s coverage of the 2020 bushfire crisis and 2021 NSW flood crisis.
She’s also been part of the team nominated for a Mumbrella Publishing Award for their work on the 2018 Royal Wedding Coverage.
