Royal children make surprise appearance for Queen's committal service at St George's Chapel

Prince George and Princess Charlotte were the only young royal children to attend Queen Elizabeth's full state funeral at Westminster Abbey on Monday.

But after the procession made it's way to Windsor the service at St George's Chapel was a family one, which was reflected in those in attendance.

Her Majesty's eldest grandson and granddaughter - Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall - both had their daughters with them inside the church.

Savannah, 11, and 10-year-old Isla Phillips, Peter's daughter's with ex-wife Autumn Kelly, sat either side of their father in the pew.

Mia, eight, appeared to be sitting in between parents Zara and Mike for the service but her younger sister Lena, 4, and 18-month-old baby brother Lucas both were not in attendance.

Another four-year-old royal who didn't join proceedings in Windsor was Prince Louis, who wasn't seen alongside his older brother and sister.

Mia and Lena were both seen earlier in the week inside Westminster Hall with their older cousins Savannah and Isla.

The four kids were standing on the gallery watching as their grandmother, Princess Anne, took part in a vigil by the Queen Elizabeth's four children.

The kids were not part of any other ceremonies across the 10-days of mourning and the funeral was the first time Prince George and Princess Charlotte took part in the official ceremonies.

Queen Elizabeth died in Balmoral on September 8, which was Prince Louis's first day of school and the Wales children's first day at their new Lambrook School, since moving to Windsor.
