Yesterday, authorities in Cebu confirmed videos of alleged child sexual abuse and exploitation had been discovered on the devices that allegedly belonged to the Duchess of Sussex’s father.
In a media conference held on Tuesday, Major General Wilson Asueta of the Philippine National Police said: “We were able to find that there are files consisting of several CSEAM [Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act] materials,” he said, The Telegraph UK reports.
“This will be subjected further to analysis. These are videos of a male and female minors, others are not minors doing sexual activities and of course, explicit materials.”
Police have not yet determined who produced the recordings, who owned the devices or whether Markle Snr appeared in any of the files.
Further analysis will be carried out before a decision was made on criminal charges, he added.
“The investigation is going in the right direction,” he said.
A separate search was carried out in Mexico when authorities raided a storage unit previously rented by Markle Snr late last week.
Markle Snr has denied the allegations against him, describing them as “sick lies”.

The development came as Meghan’s father was moved to a care facility for those suffering dementia in Florida on Friday, The Sun reported.
But fear the development could hinder an FBI investigation into claims of child sex abuse.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan have left the UK as the headlines around Markle Snr grow.
