Experience

Natalie Oliveri has been reporting on all things royal for close to 20 years and has contributed as a commentator to several international documentaries, speaking about not only the British royals but also royal families from Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Monaco.

She co-hosts Nine’s Royal Briefing vodcast and has appeared on Nine’s Crown Duels and Talking Honey series, discussing royal issues affecting various monarchies throughout Europe.

Natalie is a regular commentator on television and radio, reporting for Nine nationwide and around the world with recent appearances on Good Morning Britain and The Times Radio.

In 2022, Natalie was sent to London for Nine’s coverage of the death of Queen Elizabeth II where she reported from Buckingham Palace, Windsor and Sandringham during the two week mourning period, and returned to the UK in May, 2023, for the coronation of King Charles III.

Days before the coronation, Natalie spoke with Prince William at an event in London and was one of just a few reporters there for Prince Louis’ first official engagement alongside Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and the Princess of Wales, in the days after King Charles was crowned.

She has also travelled through Denmark writing features on Australian-born Queen Mary, visiting the palaces, castles and royal sites frequented by the Danish royal family.

She has also covered visits to Australia by some of Europe’s other royals including Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria, with whom she interviewed at the Sydney Opera House in 2023, Norway’s Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Denmark’s Count Nikolai of Monpezat.

In September, 2023, Natalie was the first Australian journalist to interview Count Nikolai as he relocated to Australia for university. It was his first interview outside of Denmark about being stripped of his prince title.

She has also interviewed Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, during a visit to Sydney in 2024.

Natalie also has an interest in royal jewellery and has written extensively on the historic pieces in royal collections across Europe.
