Queen Camilla wears aquamarine tiara from late Queen Elizabeth II's collection for the first time
Queen Camilla has debuted a new tiara during the Diplomatic Corps reception inside Buckingham Palace this week.
The Queen wore the Aquamarine ribbon tiara – named for the blue stones that are set in a ribbon design amongst diamonds – and a gown by Fiona Clare.
The tiara was first seen on the late Queen Elizabeth II in the 1970s and later on the Duchess of Edinburgh.

It is just the fourth tiara Camilla has worn from collection of her mother-in-law since her death in 2022.
The King hosted the reception inside the State Rooms at the palace on Tuesday night and was joined by the Queen and the Prince of Wales.

The Princess of Wales, who usually attends the annual event, was absent this year presumably because of her continued recovery with cancer. Catherine is next expected to be seen in public when she hosts the Together at Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey on December 6.

The Diplomatic Corps reception is typically held in the first week of December but was brought forward this year because the King and Queen are due to host Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at Buckingham Palace on December 3 and 4.

For this year's event, the Queen chose the Aquamarine ribbon tiara from the royal collection. Camilla's aquamarine and diamond necklace and earrings are from her personal collection, the palace said.

The tiara was worn by Queen Elizabeth II just once in public, in July 1970 during a royal visit to Canada.
Since then, the piece has been loaned to Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, who wore it a number of times.
The first was in 2012 for the pre-wedding dinner for Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg.

And in 2013, Sophie wore the tiara again when Princess Madeleine of Sweden married Christopher O'Neill.
Since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Camilla has had access to an expanded collection of jewels.
The 77-year-old has now worn four tiaras that were previously seen on the late monarch.
In June, at a state banquet for Japan's Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, Queen Camilla wore the Burmese Ruby Tiara for the second time.
At the 2023 Diplomatic Corps reception, the Queen wore Elizabeth II's most recognisable headpiece: the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, which she first wore in October that year to a dinner in London.
And in 2022, at the first palace event requiring tiaras since the monarch's death, Camilla wore the sapphire parure, also known as the King George VI Victorian suite.
