Woman discovers hidden meaning in pineapple tattoo
Choosing a tattoo is a very personal choice. For Brittany Lewin from the US, she just likes pineapples.
She likes how they look, she likes how they taste, she likes everything about them.
So she asked for a tattoo of a pineapple inside of a triangle on her forearm which appears upside down.

It wasn't until her friend pointed out the meaning of her seemingly innocent tattoo that she realised what she'd done.
She shares on TikTok @b_brittanylewin: "I've made a mistake besties."

The video begins with Brittany explaining that when she selected the tattoo she had no idea of the secret meaning until her friend texted her to let her know.
"It's still going to make me giggle, I only just found out what an upside-down pineapple means," the friend wrote.
A shocked Brittany responded: "Wait what? Googling right now."

Brittany took to Google to find out for herself and shared the screenshot of the results in the video.
The results show that an upside down pineapple means "swingers parties".

One of Brittany's TikTok followers says in the comments section she knows what an upside pineapple means and just thought Brittany and her partner were swingers.
"'I've thought this every video I've seen of u," they say. "I just thought each to their own."
"Yep, every time I see it I was thinking to myself 'does she know?'" adds another.
"Well you wouldn't win either way," says another TikTok follower. "Even if you put it the right way up, when you put your arm back down from behind it'd still be upside down."
Another comments: "I always thought you and James were just into some extra fun stuff lol I'm sad that you didn't actually know."
"Oh no girl," says another.
Brittany's video has been viewed by more than 38,000 people. While she seems to be seeing the humour in the situation, Brittany hasn't said if she plans to change her tattoo.
"Turn it to the other side," says one.
"Just embrace it," writes another.
Another suggests: "Just turn it into Spongebob's house and add some sea shells."
"Still cute as tattoo I have a pineapple tattoo on my foot," says another TikTok follower.
