Lauren's snake tattoo didn't turn out like this

It's always a good idea to put some thought into what you want done when getting a tattoo. They are notoriously difficult and slightly painful to have removed.

Lauren Kellogg did everything she could to ensure she'd get the exact "cute" snake tattoo she wanted.

She was hoping for something along the lines of this:

Lauren has shared her inking journey on TikTok @flickinglauren.

She writes: "What I thought my snake tattoo was gonna look like."

She then shows what it ended up looking like, which is this:

The snake she ended up with is much less detailed than what she had been hoping for.

"That's why you don't get cheap tattoos," writes one of Lauren's followers.

"Always research your artist," suggests another.

Her TikTok followers were puzzled, with one asking why she didn't notice as it was being done, to which she replied she did notice but decided to trust the process.

One writes: "Okay but.. question.. i have a TON of tattoos and terrible anxiety. I'm ALWAYS watching to see if they're doing a good job, etc. how do you not notice."

Lauren explains: "I was watching and then started looking away. I guess I trust too much."

Since getting the tattoo Lauren says she didn't wear short sleeves for four months, trying to figure out what to do.

Laser tattoo removal takes approximately 10 sessions. Or, you can get a cover up.

Which is what Lauren opted for, and the result is much better than even the original snake she wanted.

She chose an elaborate floral design which she is more than happy to show off.

"Way better," writes one of her TikTok followers.

"It looks so good," says another.

One asks why she didn't just get the snake filled in, but perhaps Lauren wanted a more extreme change after her tattooing disappointment.

"Why did you get the coverup so dark you literally could have just got someone to redesign the snake," they ask.

"That cover up is so pretty," adds another.
