'My kids are my absolute world': Jules Neale opens up about her 'different' plans for Mother's Day amid split
Jules Neale is navigating her new life as a single mother and preparing to celebrate her first Mother's Day since the breakdown of her marriage and split from Lachie Neale.
The 36-year-old relocated back to her hometown in Perth, while Neale has remained in Brisbane and continues to play AFL for the Brisbane Lions, with their children sharing time between both parents.
Jules revealed that her kids are her "absolute world" and shared that this year the focus will be on her own mum.

"Mother's Day this year is looking a little different," Jules said in an interview with the Herald Sun.
"But my kids are my absolute world and literally the best thing that's ever happened to me.
"They make every single day brighter and I don't take a moment of it for granted."
Jules and Lachie share two children, Piper, four and Freddie, one.

Jules admitted that the real joy this year will be celebrating Mother's Day with her mum, who has been her rock this year.
"She's been an incredible support over the last few months to me and the kids," she said.
"We're planning to have a big family lunch with my brothers, their partners and kids, so it will be a beautiful day spent together."
It's been a big few months for Jules, who has been candid with sharing the vulnerable side of her new life on social media.
Just days ago she shared a deeper insight into her healing journey as she revealed she'd undergone hypnotherapy to help with "trauma".

"Don't mind my appearance, I've just been crying for an hour straight," she said, before explaining, "...because I did hypnotherapy... and it was incredible.
"If anyone's dealing with anything emotionally, any kind of trauma or anything that you would go to normal talk therapy [or] traditional talk therapy for, maybe try hypnotherapy as well."
The mother-of-two continued: "I feel like that did a lot more for me in one session than talk therapy has before, it kind of delves a little bit deeper, I suppose. It was really incredible, so I just wanted to share that."

Jules recently hit out at the Brisbane Lions for a video shared online involving Piper, who appeared to be scared as she headed out onto the field with Lachie for his 300th game.
The little girl was seen crying with her hands covering her face, being overwhelmed by the spectacle of an honour guard, later running through a banner with his teammates.
Lachie tried his best to comfort her before ultimately handing her off to a staff member.
The video was captioned, "Our shy queen 😭🫶".
But Jules, who remained in Perth with the couple's one-year-old son Freddie, rebutted in the comment section, "She's not shy. She's scared, and it's not funny".
The pair's relationship broke down in December after she publicly claimed she had been "betrayed", in light of rumours about the couple's marriage.
Lachie then confirmed the separation while addressing the media in early January.
"I have let my family down, and I apologise for my actions, which have hurt those closest to me. For that, I am deeply sorry," he said.
Lachie added that he had to "accept" the consequences of his actions, but was focused on rebuilding trust with Neale because the well-being of their children remained their biggest priority.
