The $8 Kmart buy that will transform your cleaning routine
The kitchen is clean so now I'm taking my cleaning caddy to the bathroom. Rachael Gavin

A clean and organised home has a huge impact on how we feel in the space.
But knowing we'll feel relaxed once cleaning tasks have been done doesn't make it any easier to get started.
For me there are two things that are a huge motivator when it comes to cleaning the house and they definitely work.
One is having a new cleaning tool to try and the other is having cleaning supplies organised and within easy reach.
Cleaning caddies aren't just useful when you clean, they're also great for storing cleaning supplies when not in use. Rachael Gavin
Kmart has solved both of those problems with its new range of cleaning products featuring calming neutral colours and wood, rope and ceramic materials.
"Our new cleaning range was inspired by the desire to make every day cleaning feel stylish, practical, and affordable. We wanted to create products that not only perform well but also complement modern home aesthetics," a Kmart spokesperson tells nine.com.au.
My pick of the new products is the $8 trellis cleaning caddy.

The caddy is large enough to hold everything you need for a cleaning session. Kmart
Featuring a beige colour and classic trellis pattern, the cleaning caddy is perfect for organising cleaning essentials.
In my cleaning caddy I like to put dishwashing liquid or a spray bottle made up with a squirt of dishwashing liquid and water, disinfectant spray, cloths and scrubbing brushes, including grout brushes. I don't usually need to include a squeegee because I have one permanently sitting in my shower.
I've filled the caddy with everything I need to clean the bathroom, including grout brushes. Rachael Gavin
Measuring 17.8cm high, 44cm wide and 28.5cm deep, the trellis cleaning caddy contains plenty of room for everything you need, yet is small enough to fit in most under sink cabinets.
And if you don't have an under sink cupboard or it's too small, the caddy is so stylish that it will look good stored on a bench.
Caddies are brilliant for making cleaning easier because they remove the effort needed to gather supplies and juggle them between rooms.
With cleaning essentials in the one portable place there is one less barrier stopping you from getting started on a task.
The wooden scrubbing brush feels lovely in my hand. Rachael Gavin
No cleaning caddy is complete without a scrubbing brush and the new range includes the $4 wood scrubbing brush.
It features a timeless look and strong bristles to tackle tough cleaning jobs.
I tried the brush out on my shower floor tiles and it was a dream to hold the wooden handle and the bristles made easy work of removing grime.
The wooden scrubbing brush looks like it'd also be good for the kitchen sink, depending on what material your sink is made from.
These look so much prettier than the packaging powder and capsules comes in. Kmart
The laundry has also been included in Kmart's new cleaning range. The $10 ceramic laundry canister is brilliant storage for capsules while adding a calming, streamlined look to benches and shelves instead of leaving detergent in its packaging.
For those who prefer powder the $14 ceramic laundry jar with ladle makes it easy to store detergent and measure out the right amount into the washing machine.
This rope design with liner means plenty of airflow to prevent odours building in dirty washing. Kmart
You can also refresh your laundry organisation with a new $39 rope laundry hamper with liner to store dirty clothes in and a $29 rope laundry basket with liner to take washed items to the clothesline.
There is also an $18 rope laundry hamper basket, which is perfect for storing mesh laundry bags or popping dirty cleaning cloths in until there's enough for a load.
The brush has an elegant, retro feel to it and is a delight to use. Rachael Gavin
The kitchen gets a new cleaning tool too with the $4 wood dish brush, which has a handy rope loop at the end so it can be hung up.
Scrubbing brushes are brilliant for doing the dishes because they dry faster than sponges which results in less bacteria building up over time.
Plus it looks super cute hung up beside my tea towel next to the sink and I can't wait to try it when I wash the dishes tonight.
