Nesquik announces triumphant return of nostalgic flavour
Nestlé Nesquik has announced the return of a popular flavour, reigniting the age-old debate over which of the brand's offerings is best.
Banana Nesquik is back! For good! With the "same iconic recipe, taste and tin that Aussies know and love", the company says.
The return of Banana will make for a delicious trilogy of flavours alongside Chocolate and Strawberry. Customers can find it on supermarket shelves from today.

Nesquik tins feature the character Quicky the Bunny, which makes the timing of this news just before Easter simply delightful.
Although, at $4 for a 250 gram tin, it seems Nesquik has also succumbed to inflationary pressure.
A quick check of a past Coles grocery order from June 2024 confirmed it used to cost $3.50 for a 250 gram tin.

That's a price increase of almost 15 per cent.
Nestlé confirmed the cost of Banana Nesquik has increased since it was last on sale.
"Yes, Banana is aligned with our Chocolate & Strawberry Nesquik 250g Tins at $4.00," a spokesperson told 9honey.

Nestlé Head of Marketing Dairy, Sid Kajale said, "Banana flavour lovers are sure to be excited over the nostalgic return of Banana NESQUIK.
"Die-hard fans have been asking us to bring back this old-time favourite and we've heard you! Get in QUICK for this cult classics comeback."
I am personally so excited for the return of Banana Nesquik, because it's two of my three children's favourite flavour, closely followed by Strawberry.
My middle child only drinks Chocolate Nesquik.
I actually like all three, and I love that when you have kids you get to enjoy all your childhood favourites once again. Nesquik is definitely one of mine.
An in-office poll at 9honey confirms Banana is most certainly a popular flavour, although Chocolate won out overall.
Some Nesquik fans in the office recalled a variety of discontinued flavours from their childhoods, including Caramel and Lime.
A Facebook 'Australian Nostalgia' thread even recalled Nesquik coming in Vanilla and Mango flavours.

Many Facebook followers mentioned Banana Nesquik being available in The Reject Shop during its absence from Coles and Woolworths, seemingly sourced internationally.
"Can buy banana at the reject shop but its pretty exy now days... Never seen any flavors except choc, strawberry and banana if I'm honest," one Facebooker commented in November 2024.

"Banana is available from Snakezy and The Reject Shop," another said.
Another lamented the lack of banana milk options in Australia across the board.
"Banana was my fav.. can't buy banana milk of any kind anywhere except for Nesquik but even that's hard to find," they said ahead of the announcement of Banana returning.

Nestlé confirmed Chocolate Nesquik is the most popular flavour in its current selection, and confirmed Lime and Caramel used to be part of their range, as well as Bubblegum.
There are no plans for these flavours to return, however.
