Iconic chocolate block back on supermarket shelves 'by popular demand'
A popular chocolate block has returned to supermarket shelves after a three-month absence.

The Australian chocolate brand discontinued this block in November 2025 but fans quickly made their feelings heard and now it is back.

Although I couldn't find this particular block at my local Coles, although they do stock the most of the Darrell Lea range. Instead, I found it at my local Woolworths store.
A 160g block of Darrell Lea Bullets Raspberry White Chocolate costs $7, although Woolies has marked it down to $5.
When the block was discontinued in November, Darrell Lea told nine.com.au it was a "business decision" which can mean there had been a dip in sales.
"Unfortunately, it was a business decision to discontinue this product and sadly they aren't currently looking at bringing this product back on the shelves," they said at the time.

Woolworths has marked the block down from $7 to $5. Nine
"It may come back in the future but at this stage Marketing and Sales have no plans to reintroduce the product to the shelves. We understand this would be disappointing and will pass on your interest for their consideration."
Clearly there's nothing like a temporary discontinuation to remind chocolate lovers of the deliciousness of a white chocolate and raspberry bullets combination.
Thankfully, we had Darrell Lea's Raspberry Bullets White Chocolate bag to tide us over.
Darrell Lea chocolate prices remain the same, after previous price increases due to global issues with cocoa production. A Darrell Lea chocolate blocks are priced at $4.38 per 100g.
Compare this to Cadbury which is slightly more at $4.44 per 100g, Nestle's Aero Chocolate Block at $7.50 per 100g, and Lindt at $8.50 per 100g.
Darrell Lea has also started rolling out its Easter range in supermarkets, and its popular Valentine's Day range. The Darrell Lea Easter Bilby Milk Chocolate figure is currently in stores and has been marked down to half price at Woolworths, at $5.25.
Multi packs of small Darrell Lea Easter Eggs are also on sale at Woolworths at $4.50 per 110g bag and include Milk Chocolate and Speckled.

Darrell Lea's iconic Original 100s and 1000s Hand Rolled Easter Egg is back and costs $13.
And Darrell Lea has released several new products for Easter, including Milk Chocolate Rocklea Road Speckled Easter Egg for $18, and a Darrell Lea Milk Chocolate Nougat Easter Egg for $13.
Darrell Lea Australia has been producing chocolate since 1927, the work of founder Harry Lea who moved to Australia from London in 1888.
Lea started making confectionary in 1917 at the back of his fruit shop on the Manly Corso before he opened a specialty store in Sydney's Haymarket in 1927.
Darrell Lea's signature nougat was one of his first chocolate creations.
His sons Maurice and Robert Lea took over the business upon their father's death in 1957, opening multiple stores across the country and adding a factory in Kogarah in NSW.

The company was a huge success, until it was forced to enter voluntary administration in 2012 and was eventually purchased by the Qld owners of VIP Petfoods.
The business was restructured, and Darrell Lea stores closes. Thankfully, Darrell Lea products began being sold in supermarkets and specialty stores.
The product lines were reduced, however Darrell Lea's signature products including their nougat, licorice, and Rocklea Road remained a core part of its range.

Darrell Lea won a five-year legal battle in 2008 brought by rival Cadbury over Darrell Lea's use of the colour purple on its packaging, which Cadbury used for its chocolate range.
The company now produces one billion pieces of chocolate each year and is distributed world wide.
