Chris Hemsworth has celebrated his birthday solo with a beloved supermarket mud cake.
The Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga star shared a video showing his impromptu soiree. The moment wasn't the actor's official celebration – instead, it was a thank you to fans who had sent birthday wishes.
"What's up everyone. I just wanted to say thank you for all the birthday wishes," he said in a video shared on his official social media channels.

"I didn't actually get any photos yesterday, so I went and bought myself a cake. I thought I'd do a little private celebration."
Hemsworth then pans his phone to show a humble supermarket cake, which appears to be a Coles or Woolies white chocolate mud cake that retails for $6.40.
"And I've got some champagne as well, got myself some flowers."

Seemingly in a reflective mood, Hemsworth then says, "That's the thing as you get older, you kind of realise the circle of people around you that you love gets smaller and smaller.
"So, that's why it's just me."
He then takes a forkful of the cake, not bothering to cut a slice, adding, "But not to worry, because I've certainly got myself a delicious cake, with some bubbly, and a little arrangement there, with colour."
Hemsworth then leans back in his chair and says: "Thank you all. Here's to another great year," before taking another bite of cake.

The actor's wife Elsa Pataky marked her husband's birthday with a video tribute shared on social media featuring photos of him throughout the years.
It included one of Hemsworth lounging across a horse, one of the pair covered in snow, one of him in head-to-toe Christmas gear, and another of the actor mid-high-kick in the Snowy Mountains.

She also shared snaps of him playing with their children, India Rose, 12, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, 10, when they were younger.
