"I just had an interview for a nanny job and one of the questions that the family asked me was if I wanted kids, and if I didn't, then I wouldn't be the right candidate for the job," she explained.
"They basically said, 'If you don't like kids, then how on earth do you like your job?'"
Sucala used the opportunity to address what she feels is a big misconception people have about being child-free.
While on the surface it may seem like someone has chosen to not have kids because they don't like them, she said it's really not the case for everyone.
"I love my job. I've been a nanny for nine years. I adore kids. They are so precious," she said.
"But my job has also shown me how difficult it is to be a parent and how time consuming it is, and it's more so the lifestyle that I think my husband and I are a little turned off by because we really like our freedom.
"We like a very chill, relaxed type of life, and I don't think raising a kid really fits into the type of life that we want to live."

"I truly love what I do but if I wasn't able to have my weekends and go home at 5… I know I would be exhausted. Parents, I have so much respect for y'all," she captioned the video which has been watched close to 200,000 times.
The question got a lot of people talking in the comments, with several pointing out that it's not really something you can ask someone anyway.
"Hey I don't think they're allowed to ask that???" commented one person, to which she replied, "They weren't allowed to ask A LOT of the questions they asked me…"
Another person added, "They're so out of bounds for asking that."

Others sided with her.
"Becoming a nanny solidified i DONT want kids. Loved my job and the kids, but i also loved going home at the end of the day and not having to take care of anyone," replied another woman.
"I give 100% as a nanny and I'm GOOD at it – but only because I can clock out and decompress. I would resent my own child," added another.
One woman also suggested that having a nanny who doesn't have their own kids actually works better in the long run.
"Honestly being a nanny requires conflicting hours for ur own kids.. so its better that a nanny is childfree," added another woman.
