‘Taking my face off’: Brandi Glanville reveals drastic surgery amid health battle
Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville has revealed a surgeon is planning to “take her face off” to get to the bottom of a mysterious illness.
The 53-year-old has spent four years battling debilitating health problems that have left her face visibly disfigured, with the reality star convinced something is living beneath her skin.

Now, Glanville has revealed she was scheduled to undergo exploratory surgery on Friday, describing the procedure in graphic detail on her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast.
“He is taking my face off on Friday and going to do an exploratory surgery to kind of do a power wash under my skin,” she said.
Glanville said her surgeon, Dr Carlo Honrado, had identified two areas he wanted to investigate, which she believes could contain fungal growths or something living beneath her skin.
“It’s alive,” she told co-host James Maas, adding, “it moves when it wants to.”
Glanville admitted she was both excited and frightened about the procedure.

She said her doctor had warned the operation would be “more intensive” than a facelift, with the procedure also involving treatment using platelets taken from her blood.
“He’s, like, literally going in there with a power washer, basically, and knives and all this s***.”

The surgery is expected to leave Glanville with an additional $US5000 bill on top of what her health insurance covers.
Her latest update comes after years of medical appointments, treatments, and mounting expenses as she has struggled to understand what is causing her symptoms.
Earlier this month, Glanville revealed she had finally secured a surgery date after fearing she might never recover.

“I’m afraid for my health. Like, I don’t know what’s making me sick,” she said at the time.

In September, she disclosed several diagnoses, including bacterial and fungal infections, Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis.
She has also previously spoken about undergoing an 18-hour daily IV treatment regimen.
While the cause of her facial symptoms remains unclear, Glanville hopes the surgery will finally provide some answers.
“I am so excited. These past four years, I didn’t think I was going to make it,” she said earlier this month.
“But I’m excited to just get my life back.“
