Snowboarder sets off for a casual day on the slopes, accidentally creates viral video

When hitting the slopes, you have a few obstacles to watch out for.

You have the obvious trees, bushes and inexperienced skiers floundering around in your way to avoid.

You're mentally prepared for that.

What you don't think about dodging, however, are barnyard animals.

Russia's Shevchenko Kirill learned the hard way that you should always be always expect the unexpected when you strap into a snowboard.

A helmet cam captured his mishap at a ski resort in Arkhyz, south-east Russia, footage from which was uploaded to YouTube two days ago.

In that time, it has clocked up nearly 330,000 views and a couple hundred comments.

Most of the comments came from Russian YouTubers, but through the magic of Google Translate we gathered that most were cranky with Kirill and felt for the poor ram who was just minding his own business.

"Sheep not guilty ," one YouTuber said – we think.

Although judging by a few others, some savage users wanted old mate to turn the fleecy fella into dinner.

"Sheep fat, a good straight ... kebab wanted," another added, which we've interpreted as "roast that guy and chuck him on some flatbread".

It's rough out there – both on the slopes and in the comments section.
