The celebrity A-listers you forgot were in Scrubs
Matthew Perry
Friends star Matthew Perry, who sadly passed away last year, appeared in the Season 4 episode 'My Unicorn'.
Not only did he play the role of Murray Marks alongside his real-life father John Bennett Perry, but he also directed the episode.
Murray is an air traffic controller who JD tracks down when his estranged dad needs a kidney. But he soon backtracks when he realises they aren't biologically related...
Could this guest appearance BE anymore awesome? We don't think so!
He wasn't the only Friends star to make a cheeky appearance on Scrubs...
Courteney Cox
In Season 8, Courteney Cox – who you'll of course know as Monica Gellar from Friends – appeared in a number of episodes as Dr Taylor Maddox.
Dr Maddox was the Chief of Medicine at Sacred Heart, filling the position after Dr Kelso quit.
Dr Maddox was later fired after the staff convinced Kelso to use his influence to get her out.
Fun fact: Around the time of filming, Courtney was leading the show Cougar Town which was created by Bill Lawrence, the creator of Scrubs.
Bill is married to Christa Miller, who starred as Jordan on Scrubs and Ellie in Cougar Town. What a crossover!
Colin Farrell
Another A-lister who featured on Scrubs was Colin Farrell.
He played Irish hunk Billy Callahan in Season 4's 'My Lucky Charm' in 2004.
He came to Sacred Heart to visit a patient, but as we later found out it was him who had put him there following a bar brawl.
JD and Turk called the police on Billy after he told them, which led him to be arrested. Upon his release he returned to the hospital and apologised.
The Irish charm definitely worked on everyone!
Brendan Fraser
Brendan Fraser is arguably one of the most beloved guest stars to have ever appeared on Scrubs, with the episodes he featured in considered some of the greatest ever.
He played Ben Sullivan, Jordan's brother and Dr Cox's best friend.
Ben was diagnosed with leukemia during his time on the show, and Dr Cox refused to acknowledge that Ben had actually died – which resulted in him imagining Ben following him around the hospital.
At Ben's funeral, he finally accepted that Ben has passed on and mourned him alongside JD, Jordan, and her and Ben's sister Danni.
Tara Reid
Speaking of Danni, she was played by popular actress Tara Reid.
Danni is Jordan and Ben's sister, and dated JD for a number of episodes before it all came crashing down.
Cox, of course, hated the match from the start and wasn't happy with JD potentially becoming part of his family.
Mandy Moore
Another Hollywood starlet who appeared in Season 5 was Mandy Moore.
Mandy played Julie Quinn, who dated JD after meeting on a blind date set up by Julie's great aunt, a patient of his.
They ended their romance after JD said how he wanted a long-term relationship, which she wasn't ready for.
Zach Braff and Mandy actually dated in real life from 2004 to 2006, and he even inspired some of the songs on her album Wild Hope.
It's unclear how they met, but they were first linked together in late 2004. They kept their relationship relatively private, though Moore did gush about her boyfriend in interviews.
"It's just nice to be with anyone who's supportive of what you do and proud of you and respects you and respects your work," she told Cosmopolitan in 2005. "I feel lucky to be with someone who's like that."
When they started dating, Moore was 20 years old, and Braff nine years her senior. They ultimately split up in 2006, and she told Marie Claire that the break-up was the icing on a "really bad cake. The burned cake".
Heather Locklear
You might remember the character Julie Keaton as the romantic interest of Dr Cox... right before he left her to revisit his romance with Jordan.
Julie was of course played by American actress Heather Locklear, most known for her role as Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place.
John Ritter
The late, great John Ritter played JD's father Sam Dorian in Scrubs.
Sam was an office supply salesman, who loved his two sons but was always in financial strife after his divorce.
When John Ritter died in real life, the Season 4 episode 'My Cake' was written in his honour, where his character Sam also passed away.
Heather Graham
Heather Graham first appeared as Dr Molly Clock in Season 4, becoming Elliot's best pal and JD's love interest.
Turk often referred to her as "the devil woman" due to the fact that she could get into people's minds being a psychiatrist.
While Molly and JD did share a kiss, due to a number of obstacles they never made it go any further.
Elizabeth Banks
Elizabeth Banks played Dr. Kim Briggs in Scrubs.
Dr Kim had a big part to play in the story, sparking up a romance with JD at the end of his fifth year.
She later told JD she was pregnant with his child, but when she was offered another job in Washington she took it and lied to JD telling him she'd suffered a miscarriage.
It wasn't until months later that JD saw her at a medical conference and realised she was pregnant.
The lie made it difficult for JD to forgive her, but they made up for the sake of the child.
They broke up just before their son Sam was born, as she realised they were only together because of the baby.
