Chrissie Swan gives health update after ‘pretty tough two weeks’: ‘Healing is not linear’
Aussie radio star Chrissie Swan has thanked fans for their support as she recovers from a “medical emergency” though she says her recovery has had its challenges.

“I can feel the energy crash is imminent, so I just wanted to seize this opportunity because I’ve washed my hair for the first time in a couple of weeks, and say thank you so much for all your beautiful messages. I read every single one,” Swan said.
The host, who has been off-air since September, said she was “really missing work”.
“I’m really missing interacting with people on the radio so your direct messages mean a lot to me,” she continued.
Swan said she really resonated with the saying “healing is not linear”.
“I’ve had a pretty rough two weeks and lots of curveballs, lots of surprise stuff that wasn’t on the cards,” she said.
“So, little by little. I’m feeling good today. Let’s run with it.”
She concluded by thanking her NOVA colleagues including Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell, Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald, Michael “Wippa” Wipfli, and Kate Ritchie for helping to fill her timeslot.
“We’ve got you buddy. We miss you, we love you,” Wipfli commented in support.
Meanwhile, Coulter said: “Sending you so much love and can’t wish to give you a big hug.”

Swan elaborated on her condition in her caption, saying she had been unable to leave her bed most days.
“It’s such a drag being unwell but your messages and thoughts and positive encouragement have been the surprise break out hit of the year,” she wrote.
Swan first opened up about her health on October 22, saying she suffered a medical emergency a couple of months ago.

“Completely unplanned as emergencies are, and I was in hospital for ages,” she explained.
Despite her recovery, she said she had no idea when she would be returning to radio.
