Kyle Sandilands has claimed he spent some of the months after he was sacked by KIIS FM working with Pauline Hanson and One Nation.

The radio shock jock, 55, will break his silence in a lengthy interview with Game Changers Radio podcast, which will be released at 6am on Friday.

In an early sneak peek of the interview obtained by news.com.au, Sandilands spoke on his relationship with the controversial senator.

“I’ve been working on getting their messaging across, which I think has been well received,” Sandilands told Game Changers Radio hosts Craig Bruce and Irene Hume.

“She is really a surprise. She’s one of my favourite people now,” he said of Hanson.

He shared he has taken Hanson to “meet some folks she didn’t know”.

“Not my gangster friends,” he joked. “But just more of the upper society types who have also expressed a great interest in her messaging.”

The former radio host continued saying he had been “loving the orange wave” and extended praise for One Nation treasury spokesperson Barnaby Joyce.

After spending time with both Hanson and Joyce, Sandilands called them “very inspirational”.

“They’re not what everyone thinks they are … a lunatic racist party of country bumpkins that think that the world should change,” he said.

One Nation chief of staff James Ashby told The Sydney Morning Herald Sandilands was “not working for One Nation” in any formal or informal capacity.

“I know Pauline reached out when shit hit the fan. She’s got a lot of time for him and wanted to make sure he was fine,” he said.

“I think he’s a legend.”

In his interview with Game Changers Radio, Sandilands will also speak about mending his relationship with Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, the settlement of his case against ARN and his new subscription-based breakfast show.

It comes after ARN revealed this week it had agreed to pay Sandilands a settlement of $12.09 million, with $3 million of the package payable in July and the balance payable monthly until June 2029.

As part of the settlement, ARN will provide Sandilands with “advertising services on ARN’s partner platforms” worth $1.5 million over the next three years.

Sandilands said of the agreement: “It means I can get back to work rather than annoying my wife. It’s quite daunting to have that hanging over your head.

“I could’ve dragged it on for like a year and a half. My guys are pretty confident of winning.

“I don’t care if it’s hugely successful or if it just keep the people that were retrenched employed.”

Sandilands had taken legal action against his former employer after it terminated his $100 million KIIS FM contract earlier this year.

The settlement ended one of two lawsuits brought against ARN after the axing of the Kyle and Jackie O Show in February following an on-air bust up between its two stars.

The legal action brought by Henderson continues.

Henderson is suing for wrongful termination, claiming compensation of at least $82.25 million and alleging that her termination was against the Fair Work Act.

She is set to appear in court in August for a hearing, while the trial is due to start in September.
