Reflecting on the show's rich storytelling and emotional depth, Mackinnon shared which transformative moments of the series still resonate with her decades later.

Here are Mackinnon's most memorable McLeod's moments.

The heartbreaking truth of Stevie and Rose

One of Mackinnon's favourite storylines to revisit involved Stevie's complex relationship with her secret daughter Rose, played by Basia A'Hern.

To this day, watching the pivotal moment from Season 5, Episode 24 (Betwixt and Between), where Rose learns that Stevie gave her away to be raised by her sister, Michelle, Mackinnon couldn't help but get emotional.

Mackinnon credited the writing for bringing such depth to Stevie's character.

"It was so powerful. That's the gentle, soft side of Stevie that people really started to fall in love with. They loved her for the wild stuff, but they really started to fall in love with her because of Rose."

Love triangle and drama with Alex and Fiona

Another unforgettable moment for Mackinnon was the tension-filled love triangle between Stevie, Alex (Aaron Jeffery), and Fiona (Michelle Langstone).

Revisiting Season 6, Episode 1 (Lost and Found), where Alex returns to Drovers Run with Fiona, now his fiancée, Mackinnon couldn't help but laugh.

"Fiona. Hmm, didn't like her much at all," she admitted with a grin.
