The Dally Ms have officially kicked off for 2026 and it seems there’s already a red carpet accessory that’s proving popular this year: having your mum by your side.

Penrith Panthers gun Thomas Jenkins has had an incredible season, and of course the person by his side on the big night was his mum.

He clocked up an incredible 30 tries this season, finishing the year equal top try scorer alongside South Sydney’s Alex Johnston.

Jenkins, who has been nicknamed “Milky” over the year, has made no secret to the fact that he’s single and has joked in plenty of post-match interviews about his ongoing search for love.

Jenkins wasn’t the only one who bought their mum along.

Brisbane Broncos player Julia Robinson also had her mum by her side as they hit the red carpet.

The duo wore matching black looks, with Robinson opting for a daring gown with a plunging V-neckline.

Meanwhile, her mum looked stylish in a black frock that featured a white embellished design.

NRLW star Tayla Preston, who plays for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, was another player who bought their mum along for the special night.

Preston wore a shimmering gold frock with a plunging neckline, while her mum went with a classic black dress.

There’s no doubt these mums have all had a big role in getting these players to where they are today, so what a special night to have them there.
