Actor Chad Lowe announces heartbreaking death of daughter Fiona aged 13
Actor Chad Lowe, brother of Rob Lowe, has announced the death of his daughter, Fiona Harper Lowe. She was 13.
Lowe, 58, and his wife, producer Kim Painter, 52, shared the news of their daughter’s death in a statement to People Magazine.

“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” the statement read.
They went on to remember Fiona as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance.”
“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” the family said, adding, “In fact, she was the light of our lives.”
“Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
The statement finished with the pair urging people to reach out for help if they are going through a mental health crisis.
Fiona was approaching her 14th birthday on November 16.
Her father posted a birthday tribute to his daughter on her 13th birthday last year.
“Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!! Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!!” the caption of the post read at the time.
Fiona’s birthday came after the family shared the loss of their home in the Pacific Palisades Fire in 2025.

In February, Chad shared that the family went to see the remains of the home where all three of his daughters grew up.
“Almost a month after we evacuated our girls finally got to go back to see what’s left of their home,” he wrote in an Instagram post at the time.
“The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable. I am in awe of their spirit and resilience. Helping them navigate these tough times is my sole purpose.
“Being their dad is my life’s greatest joy and privilege.”

Fiona is the middle child of Lowe and Painter. They also share Mable,17, and Nixie, 10.
The pair welcomed Fiona in November 2012.
