Tony Abbott's daughter Frances Loch welcomes her second child

Tony Abbott's daughter Frances Loch has welcomed her second child with husband Sam Loch.

The 32-year-old shared the happy news on Instagram on Sunday, revealing the pair had a daughter who they have called, Romona.

Frances shared a series of black and white images from the birth, revealing she had her daughter at home and on her yoga mat.

"Romona. Born at home, on my yoga mat. I am in utter awe of birth and the human body," her post began.

"Grateful for my baby daddy and best friend @samloch and my incredible birth team," she added.

Followers rushed to congratulate the pair in the comments.

Last month, while heavily pregnant, Frances shared a video of herself on Instagram performing a 100kg heavy squat with a message to her followers.

"An equal all time personal best," she explained of the clip. Do not underestimate the strength of a pregnant woman/your pregnant body. #mumpower is a real thing," she wrote.

In December, Frances shared the news that she and her husband were expecting their second child together.

"Grateful to raise our babies & excited to make memories here. Another bubba Loch joining the party in 2024."

Frances shared the news on social media, showing off her growing baby bump at the time. In the photo, Frances stood with her son Ernest and with her husband Sam, a former Olympic rower.

Frances is one of three of former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott's daughters. She and husband Sam were married in 2018.

They both work in the fitness industry, with Frances competing in body building competitions and Sam running a fitness business.
