Tony Abbott's daughter Frances Loch shares family news

Tony Abbott's daughter Frances Loch has announced she is expecting her second child with husband Sam.

Frances, 32, shared the news on social media, showing off her growing baby bump. In the photo Frances is holding her son Ernest and is standing with her husband Sam, a former Olympic rower.

She added the description: "Grateful to raise our babies & excited to make memories here. Another bubba Loch joining the party in 2024." Sam shared an identical post on his account.

Frances is one of three of former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott's daughters. She and husband Sam were married in 2018.

They both work in the fitness industry, with Frances competing in body building competitions and Sam running a fitness business.

It was a whirlwind romance for the couple who met in November 2017 and were engaged just two weeks later. They legally tied the knot in a registry office on Valentine's Day in February 2018 ahead of a wedding reception two months later.

Sam shared the happy news on his Instagram account along with a photo of the pair showing off their wedding bands.

"The celebratory component isn't for a couple of months, but we made it official in the eyes of the law today,' he shared.

"We're the motherf---ing Mighty Morphin Power Rangers of love."

He added: "Two weeks was all it took to know that forever with you was a mighty fine idea."

Following news of their engagement Tony Abbott tweeted: "Really thrilled at the news of Francie and Sam's engagement.

"We are very proud of her and the Abbotts are looking forward to welcoming Sam into the family."

Tony Abbott and wife Margaret became grandparents when Frances and Sam welcomed their son Ernest into the world in 2021.

Photos of Tony and Marge spending time with their grandson are peppered throughout Frances' Instagram page, the couple clearly adoring of their first grandchild.

Frances and Sam shared their son's birth online, with Sam sharing: "Ernest Loch - Born on his Due Date, July 11. Tipping the scales at an even 9lb (4kgs).

"Brought into existence by his mum with nothing but breathing, coconut water and heart."

At the time the pair were living in Oregon in the US.

Tony Abbott served as Australia's 28th Prime Minister from 2013 until 2015. He currently works as a speaker and political commentator.

Frances and Ernest joined the former Prime Minister and his loved ones for the unveiling of his portrait in Parliament House in November 2022.
