Tommy was a country musician in his own right, with a number of Top 10 tracks under his belt - namely Rise and Shine, One Song Away and his number four hit Six White Horses, which was an ode to the late John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King.

He also teamed up with his older brother on the 1990 single Guess Things Happen That Way.
