The Veronicas Jessica and Lisa Origliasso take swipe at Qantas

The Veronicas Jessica and Lisa Origliasso have taken a swipe at Qantas following their ongoing legal battle with the Australian airline.

The 'Untouched' singers, both 34, shared a boomerang with their 193,000 followers on Instagram.

"Promote what you love, not what you hate," Lisa wrote on social media, tagging rival airline Virgin Australia.

The post seemed to receive a positive response from their fans, with many commenting underneath the image with the clapping hands emoji.

"This is gold," one user wrote.

The social media response comes following a controversial week for the singing sisters, who originally hail from Albany Creek in Queensland.

Last week the pair were removed from a Sydney flight to Brisbane by three Australian Federal Police officers.

It was claimed they "refused to follow crew instructions", however, there have been conflicting accounts due to filmed footage posted on social media.

The Veronicas appeared on The Project later in the week to reject the claims and said they were pursuing legal action against the airline.

"This is a legal matter, not a publicity stunt," Jessica responded. Lisa clarified that she "doesn't think it helps [the show] at all".

Host Tommy Little asked the pop duo if the incident was a "publicity stunt" ahead of their scheduled reality TV show — Jess & Lisa: The Veronicas — which is expected to air on Foxtel in November.
